I was member of Team TAMAGO and had a lot of fun with this project.
I think we went all of the planning steps but then, had a rough time planning. We thought that 25 minutes were all time including building up the protection for the egg. Because of this misunderstanding, we planned in a rush. After we noticed that we actually had another 15 minutes to plan, we could not think calmly anymore. We came up with one nice plan which we, at least I, thought might work. However, we gave up this plan because of our resource limitations and tried to find a new one instead of improving the previous plan. Finally we came up with a plan, but we had doubt it would work. Then, it did indeed not work….
In the project, I was concentrated on how we could make it happen as much as most of you, even though I had a sense that we were somewhat wrong about time. I believe that in team projects especially those with a short due time, we should avoid any confusion and misunderstandings. It is better to use our time to solve the problems than going forward with confusion. It would have taken me one minute or less to ask somebody about time.

I totally agree with that knowing what is required clealy is very crucial because it affects whole process of the planing.
the understanding of the rule was one of the issues in the class as well.
some people argued that dropping the string from the top was not acceptable for this project.
but if one examines what's been said carefully, that's just one of the ways to acheive this goal.
I think before taking an action, it is important to take a minite to really understand the purpose and circumstances to be succeful in planning.
I had similar problem. I wasn't aware of how many straws we could use until we were given them. I strongly think that in doing such a group activity, there really should be a leader, and everyone takes part in throwing out their ideas, and the leader should be able to combine most useful ideas and organize to lead everyone to work it out.
yes we worked great as team but we were too anxious about timing so wee missed some chance to think od some better ideas. but overall all it was a pleasure working on this project with you guys.
Correct me if I am wrong, isn't the TAMAGO means egg in Japanese? And I think that your failure on TAMAGO was most possibily contributed by your messy idea about the intial objective of the plan. And I also feel you are right about the time issue. Like me in the planning process, I watched the clock everytime when members in the group gave out their idea, which is different from our common ground on the shape. But I think what drawn fish said is not really matter, taking clear role was going to make the planning process worst given the time limit we had.
I totally agree..... It is very important to plan very well before you actually try to execute a project before deciding a strategic was very important on the specific project. I believe the most important part of the project was to actually come up with the design end study its possibilities....Otherwise it is a waste of time to try to create something with ought really knowing what are is your main goal of the structure....
Our team didn't have name, but i like yours it's pretty unique. I guess the most important thing is to focus and not panic.
